Out of Print Clothing was inspired by the thought that what we forget we have lost. Through featuring iconic and often out of print book covers on their t-shirts and streetwear they hope to evoke the curiosity of the viewer not just in their great tees but also in the works of art they represent. Out of Print works closely with artists, authors and publishers to license the content which ends up in there collections and treat each tee to feel soft and worn like a well-read book. In addition to spreading the joy of reading through their t shirts they've acknowledged many parts of the world don't have access to books at all so are also working on changing that. As a result for each shirt they sell one book is donated to a community in need through their partner organisation Books For Africa. So by buying their graphic street wear you are not just making a purchase for yourself but one for someone unable to make it for themselves. It's unclear what the role of the book cover will be in this new era, but Out of Print Clothing feels it's more important than ever to reflect on our own individual experiences with great literary art before it's changed (and most probably lost) forever.
