Producing designs with substance and originality rather than the re-branded nostalgia, over-used ironic figures or recycled cartoon characters Dirty Velvet is also committed to producing long-lasting, ethical clothing made with minimal impact to the environment. All their garments are produced from 100% organic cotton cultivated without the use of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers using methods which are ecologically sustainable and confirm to strict social criteria. All garments are certified 100% organic under the Global Organic Textile Standard as set down by The Soil Association.
